COURSE OVERVIEW

The Optic Ready Course is a performance-driven training program designed to develop confident, lethal proficiency with pistol-mounted, red dot sights (RDS). This course blends classroom instruction, hands-on application, and live-fire validation to ensure shooters can fight with the dot—and without it—under real-world conditions.

TRAINING OBJECTIVES

• Enhance lethality through education of the RDS system
• Sustain lethal skills using optic-specific tactics & techniques
• Deploy pistol optics during live-fire qualification
• Earn Optic Ready Course Certification

COURSE FORMAT

• Classroom / Hands-On: 4 Hours
• Live-Fire Range: 2.5 Hours
• Total Training: 6.5+ Hours

KEY TRAINING BLOCKS

• RDS fundamentals & mounting (torque, witness marks)
• Recommended optics & emitter considerations
• Occluded shooting & alternate aiming methods
• Aiming techniques:
  • BAC (Bindon Aiming Concept)
  • Asymmetric Dot Positioning (ADP)
  • Bracketing, Cornering, Ghost Ring
• Environmental & equipment failure considerations
• Weapon Manipulation 

LIVE-FIRE APPLICATION

• Zero confirmation
• Occluded & alternate aiming drills
• Environmental stress shooting (water/obscured optics)
• Assigned qualification (agency/org. standard)

CERTIFICATION

Graduates receive Agape Sentinel Group LLC – Optic Ready Course Certification upon successful completion.

Course Fees: $25* Enrollment/Range/Certification, $300 per student, students provide 150 rounds of handgun ammunition.
